Codetermination negotiations concluded at the Iittala Group plants

CODETERMINATION NEGOTIATIONS CONCLUDED AT THE IITTALA GROUP PLANTS              

Fiskars Corporation's subsidiary Iittala Group Ltd. has concluded               
codetermination negotiations with personnel at its plants in Arabia (Helsinki), 
Iittala, and Nuutajärvi. On the basis of these, the company has decided to make 
51 employees redundant. In addition, eight people will leave the company under  
other arrangements. Approximately 300 employees will be temporarily laid off,   
for around ten weeks at the glassworks Iittala and Nuutajärvi, and for around   
six weeks at the Arabia plant.                                                  

The codetermination negotiations covered around 450 people in Finland. The      
initial estimate at the start of negotiations was that around 60 people could be
made redundant.
