Business Controller

I’m a business partner for several global functions, mostly in HR, and for cost management in our business areas, Terra and Crea. I collaborate with a variety of stakeholders from our business areas and functions in order to optimize our ways of working, find the best solutions and help make the right decisions to develop cost management and business scenarios.

Before joining Fiskars Group, I worked in finance-related roles for several big brands like Wärtsilä, Nokia, Metsä Group, Kone and finally Dentsu. Those roles gave me valuable experience in operational daily finance and strategic business finance, sales, brand profitability, and pricing management, as well as in driving change and business transformation. My previous experience has taught me to see the holistic business picture, be agile and always ask “why”. I also want to cherish a positive and proactive “attitude matters” spirit. With an efficient and dedicated team, only the sky is the limit.

I have brilliant colleagues, and that really matters! It is very impressive that even in these abnormal, remote times, people are so engaged and contribute to the business with their full capacity, and at times even beyond. In the future, I hope we’ll keep attracting even more agile minds, change ambassadors, and bold professionals who are united and drive towards the same goal.

Tao Huang

New Product Development Manager

I develop new products for gardening and scissors in our EMEA Terra and Crea business areas, but also serve as a lead design engineer for cooking products. I’m the perfect example of what a global company like Fiskars Group can offer to an employee – I’ve worked with almost all our cooking brands in China and Finland.

Coming from my hometown of Jingdezhen in China, which is famous for its porcelain, led me to work for Iittala in 2005 after graduating from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Over the years, I’ve taken different roles in sourcing, project management, a

In my role, I see how teamwork really matters. My team of design engineers utilizes consumer data and insight as well as the outstanding knowledge in our factories and of our sourcing and supply chain specialists. Effective teamwork is the secret behind our creativity and innovations. I’m happy to be at the frontline of our new designs.

I’m a passionate cooking enthusiast myself, and often exchange ideas ex tempore with my colleagues when cooking at home. “Creating change” is the most meaningful of our values for me. The world around us is changing fast and our vision must look towards the future.

Change and creating something new doesn’t always mean completely new products. An idea doesn’t have to be huge to bring value. It’s all about user experience and details: a gardener cutting branches more easily, a chef filleting fish more ergonomically, or a remote worker enjoying the design of their coffee mug while having a refreshment. Stacey Blizzard

Director, Marketing Activation, Terra & Crea

After 17 intense years living abroad, especially in Asia, and traveling around the world in international roles at Red Bull, I decided to take some time for myself and take a career break. My last placement at Red Bull was in Finland, supporting the strategic growth of the company, so the decision to stay here was quite easy. After a sabbatical of one year, I worked for Suunto, and finally started at Fiskars Group at the beginning of 2020.

As a global company, we have colleagues around the world, but we could be even more diverse to gain a wider perspective.

I’ve been a loyal fan of Iittala and Fiskars products and design for years. After joining the Group two years ago, I’ve learned a lot about the company. I appreciate the fact that sustainability is deeply rooted in our culture. As an employee, I appreciate the way Fiskars has taken care of our safety and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. New Fiskars Campus

Fiskars Group will move its headquarters to Keilaniemi, Espoo in early 2022. The beautiful new landmark building will have multipurpose workspaces and a café and a restaurant. It will also give us an opportunity to showcase our loved brands and products in an inspiring setting.
