IITTALA GROUP TO START CODETERMINATION NEGOTIATIONS AT ARABIA, IITTALA, AND     
NUUTAJÄRVI PLANTS                                                               

Fiskars Corporation's subsidiary Iittala Group Ltd. will start codetermination  
negotiations on redundancies and temporary lay-offs at its plants in Arabia     
(Helsinki), Iittala, and Nuutajärvi. These will cover a total of some 450       
people, and redundancies are expected to involve around 60 people. The          
negotiations are aimed at adapting the plants' operations to a challenging      
market environment.
