New president for Fiskars' Boats business
New president for Fiskars' Boats business The Managing Director of Fiskars' subsidiary, Inha Works Ltd, Jukka Suonperä is to leave the company. He will be succeeded as Managing Director and President, Boats by Juha Lehtola, M.Sc. (Econ.), who previously served as Senior Vice President, New Business Creation at Stora Enso Oyj. Juha Lehtola will report to Fiskars' President & CEO Kari Kauniskangas. “Jukka Suonperä has led Inha Works since 2003, and during his time there Buster has strengthened its position as Finland's most popular leisure boat brand and the market leader. The boat business has also expanded internationally as we had planned. On behalf of everyone at Fiskars, I would like to thank Jukka for a job well done and wish him all the best for the future,” says President & CEO Kari Kauniskangas. “I'm excited about the challenge of taking Buster boats to the next stage, and grateful for the opportunity,” says the new President, Boats Juha Lehtola. “Our aim is to strengthen the range by focusing on product development and manufacturing processes. Despite the challenging market situation at the moment, the strength of the Buster brand gives us a good foundation to do this, both in Finland and other markets in the region.” The Boats business is part of Fiskars' Outdoor business area, which includes the Buster brand and the Silva and Gerber outdoor specialty brands. In addition to Buster-brand aluminum boats, Inha Works produces forged products, such as rail fasteners. The company employs over 200 people and production is based at a plant in Ähtäri, Finland.
