Codetermination negotiations concluded at Fiskars’ Billnäs site

The codetermination negotiations started on April 10, 2012 at Fiskars site in Billnäs have now been concluded. The aim of the negotiations was to develop the operational model of the Garden business production site in a way that enables the company to react to changes faster than before and to respond flexibly to seasonal fluctuations and the requirements of the international operating environment.

The negotiations covered 409 employees at the Billnäs site, and the number of possible redundancies was estimated to be at maximum 95. As a result of the negotiations, a total of 68 employees will be affected. Part of the reductions will take place through retirement. Fiskars supports the persons who will be made redundant and helps them to find a new job.
